Approximately 70 ginkgo trees greet you on the 380m long road along Kita 13-jo Street.
In the summer, it shows a calm and beautiful green color, but in the fall, when the leaves turn red, it shows a beautiful golden landscape. There are fewer tourists in the morning, and the leaves are even more beautiful when illuminated by the morning sun.
The Hokkaido University Golden Leaves Festival, held in late October, features a YOSAKOI display during the day, illuminations at night, and many other events.
