Overlooking the Toyohira River, the local sake "Chitosezuru" made with the river's underground water is on sale.
Chitosezuru began as a sake brewery called Shibata Sake Brewery on the banks of the Sosei River. It is said that their cloudy sake, such as doburoku, became popular among the officials of the Hokkaido Development Commission, and they then began brewing sake.
The "sake lees soft serve ice cream" made with Chitosezuru sake lees is delicious.
